These words are those of John to whom the Lord Yehoshua had appeared in the book of Revelation.

Does "His hair like..." (he describes them) reveal a message about who He is?

And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;(...) Revelation 1 : 12-14

One day a big sister said to me, and I paraphrase: "we are the standard in the assembly, if a woman comes to the assembly for the first time, when she looks at you, she must understand that you are clothed with the Spirit of the Mashiah, and not with that of the world, so that there is no confusion about the appearance of you, sister in Christ, and those who are not".

I'd like to use this instruction to encourage a sister.

In the book of Revelation 1, the Apostle John describes the Mashiah in the form in which he shows himself to him. In this description, he talks about his clothes, but also his hair and his general appearance. Everything is important, believe it, because it reveals who He is. In every aspect of His appearance described in this book, even in His hair, therefore (as far as the subject of this post is concerned), there is a message given about His IDENTITY.

"but that it is a glory for the woman to wear long hair, because hair has been given to her in place of the veil? " 1 Corinthians 11 : 15 (BYM)

His Word notified us that long hair is a woman's GLORY, but above all, because we're not all equal when it comes to hair growth, the main information to grasp here is that it was YHWH in creating woman, who gave her hair for a certain purpose #1Corinthians11:15. And as a daughter of Elohîm, our hair reveals, as it does for the Mashiah with whom we are clothed by the Spirit, our identity, his identity in us.

In our generation, there are many claims for hair textures, particularly for women with afro hair, but although I find a certain virtue in this approach, in this writing it's not about the same objectives or the same motivations.

"He who does wrong, let him do wrong still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still. !" Revelation 22 : 11 (BYM)

The main point is to call our process of "let him be holy STILL" (more) to mind.

It's the Lord who gave us hair, whatever its texture or density, it's the Lord who gave it to us to serve as a veil and reveal His glory.

I've observed in assembly meetings that about 90 out of 100 women wear false hair. When I say false hair, I mean hair extensions, whether made from human hair or synthetic fibers, which are also used to braid hair.

Some choose short cuts with these extensions, others medium-long, others long to very long.

Where is this woman's glory when she wears that fake hair ? How is Yehoshua's identity revealed in us ? How is He glorified ?

Even those who are supposed to be "teachers" because of the times are still subject to it #Hebrews5:12-14. Which, alas, confirms the young sisters in this position.

I would, however, make a reservation for those who suffer from illnesses causing hair loss, and who, out of "obligation", see false hair as a PUNCTUAL solution to this loss (punctual and even, it is possible to do without it, as there are other ways of covering the head). Here, I'd like to encourage us by telling us not to hesitate to present this kind of subject to Yehoshua, He is the creator of hair, and He heals all ills, let's never forget it.

However, we must also admit that at the root of many of our hair worries are the many frictions caused by the addition of false hair, and others caused by chemical products that weaken the hair and damage our scalp in the long term. It's up to each and every one of us to take the necessary steps to solve these problems. There's something to be learned in every field, including hair care, if we feel we lack expertise in this area.

I'd like to address the sisters who, for aesthetic reasons and/or personal convenience, choose to add false hair to their hairstyle, not only for themselves but also for their children. The aesthetics of the hairstyle cannot be more important to Yehoshua, whose witnesses and messengers we claim to be, than wearing the original hair he gave us, in its original state.

"But whosoever shall deny me before men, I will also deny him before my Father which is in heaven.". Matthew 10 : 33 (BYM)

The false hair we incorporate into our hairstyles reveals a failure to understand our identity as Mashiah, it reveals a failure to accept the physical appearance the Lord has given us. Another aspect that is perhaps less obvious, because it often remains unconscious, is the desire to lie about ourselves. We lie about the true length of our hair and/or, by putting on a wig, about its true density. If we choose to put on the lie in our appearance, it's because inside we're denying the truth, and the Truth we're denying is none other than Yehoshua Himself.

It shows dissatisfaction with what the Lord has done. We say to the Heavenly Father, that the nature of the hair you gave me doesn't satisfy me, it doesn't match me or that you've done me wrong. And for those of you who, like me, use the excuse that it's hard to style your hair every day to put on false hair, and say that at least it's a relief not to have to style it often, we say to the Lord that he didn't love us by not choosing the easy way for us. It should be pointed out, however, that we can do hairstyles without the addition of false hair, which would last several days, or if need be, putting on a hat or scarf would be much better, rather than practicing the lie by putting false hair on our heads.

May the Lord touch our hearts on this subject, for sanctification also involves this. Messengers of Yehoshua, what is the message of your hair ? Or rather, the message of your false hair ? Yes, your appearance, and in this case your hairstyle, is important to the Lord, for it must not be allowed to convey the wrong message about His Person, about what He is in you. It is all about HIS IDENTITY IN US. Remember that your beauty, your adorning, is not a matter of the outward! #1Peter3:3. Let's stop putting the emphasis and our efforts on what is not useful. And even if we're talking about personal hygiene, fake hair doesn't help. We can be clean, have a neat hairstyle and give glory to the Lord with what he has given us for this purpose.

It's even sad to note that many people take more care of their fake hair (wigs, weaves, human and synthetic hair extensions) than they do of their own. Worse still, many find their hair less beautiful than their fake hair. As a result, they feel they look better with their fake hair than with their own. In the end, they don't want to do without their fake hair any more, and abandon the care of their own hair, which becomes increasingly damaged over time. Since it's less beautiful now, it has to be hidden, and compared to fake hair (some types of which are very expensive), it's less valuable. Fake hair, on the other hand, is becoming a sign of social affluence for some, because of the astronomical sums spent to acquire it. It saddens the Father's heart!

Nor should we, as hairdressers, help others to put fake hair on their heads. You will be an accomplice to their sin! Encourage them to stop now that you're out of the darkness. You are not unaware anymore.

"Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;  But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that WHICH IS NOT CORRUPTIBLE, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, WHICH IS IN THE SIGHT OF ELOHÎM OF GREAT PRICE". 1 Pierre 3 : 3

So, even if you don't find your hair beautiful, long enough, thick enough etc. in the appearance the Lord gave it to you, He Himself finds it beautiful, and not to agree to wear it in their original state, without adding false hair, for Him, is to deny Him.

Matthew 10 (BYM) 33: "But whoever denies me before people, I will also deny before my Father in heaven." The word deny means: not to accept, to reject, to refuse something offered, to prove false...

To conclude, this is not an instruction for just one person (in a personal capacity), many sisters have received from the Lord before me, to stop wearing false hair. As for me, it was a habit that had taken hold from an early age, the majority of those around us (even within the congregation) are accustomed to it; and so, it's understandable to find it hard to change this way of doing things or even, more importantly, to agree to change.

Also, some sisters may say that they know sisters who love the Lord (even deacons, prophetesses etc.), whom they take as models, who wear false hair and that this is not an obstacle of being used by the Lord etc. Let's face it, the Lord says we deny Him with our false hair! That's how He sees it.

When we grow up with the Lord, His Word says we have no option but to go "from glory to glory", #2Corinthians3:18, "sanctifying ourselves still", until the return of the Mashiah.

"Yehoshua therefore said to the Jews who had believed in him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall makeyou free. John 8:32

As with all the topics covered on this blog, this is not a debate, but something to meditate HIS WORD IN ORDER TO BE SET FREE. Let us examine, and may the Spirit of Yehoshua guide us.

All the glory be to the Lord and Savior of our souls, Yehoshua.

Let us be encouraged,

Your sister
